However, and this is important, on the Quest 3 site FAQ it mentions that if the unit gets too hot, it will throttle the charging rate to keep it from overheating.

People say that by bringing the Quest 3 battery to 70% or blow before turning on the M3 battery removes the buzzing sound. I have yet to scientifically test it, but I haven't noticed my battery buzzing in a while so I haven't cared to try it.

Dec 21, 2023 · Fired up MSFS2020 via Virtual Desktop. Quest 3 battery was at 66%. Played for 45mins and battery had gone up to 69% so this combination is perfect to even charge the Q3 in use. Picked up the power bank when they offered a 50% voucher for £7.64 which that brand do very often and the USB cable was only £3.16 off eBay.

Oct 22, 2023 · The Q3 Elite battery strap is giving me all the runtime I currently need (3.5-4hrs). If I need more I’ve found that I can connect my Romoss 10000mahr 30w packs I got from Amazon earlier this year using a usb-c cable to the strap port and it will fast charge the strap battery.

Oct 9, 2023 · I use an Onn brand 20,000 mAh battery that I bought for the Quest 2. So with both Quests the battery pack will drain from 100% down to about 75% then the Quest will drain down to about 64-68%. The battery pack is then at about 78%. The Quest will then hold at the 64-68% range while the battery will deplete the rest of the way down.

Oct 4, 2023 · I had the issue of the early straps snapping with the elite battery strap and got it replaced for free. The upside of that is that I have a spare with broken arms that I can now remove entirely and just the use battery, which I think I'll attach to the fabric strap, st least until I get the proper quest 3 version of the elite battery strap.
