Feb 7, 2023 · Because the Quest 2 uses Fresnel lenses, there is distortion which is handled by rendering the image at higher than the display resolution. The display resolution per eye is 1832 x 1920 so the combined render resolution should be 3664 x 1920 yet it's possible to go higher, presumably to account for the distortion.
