London, 30 March 2022 - Meta has today announced it has opened its new London offices at King’s Cross, following a three-year build and fit out. The office, 11-21 Canal Reach, is the Estate’s largest office building with capacity for 4,000 Meta employees.

The most significant office development at King’s Cross to date, 11-21 Canal Reach is now open. Designed by Bennetts Associates, the scheme was delivered by BAM, working with Cundall and Ramboll. The three year project has resulted in a contemporary building with flexible floorplates now serving as the UK HQ of Meta.

In addition to an embodied carbon assessment, the building has been awarded a BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ rating, exceeding its original target. It is also connected to the King’s Cross District Energy Network meaning it will benefit from zero carbon heating, hot water and cooling.
