Toronto Maple Leafs star forward Mitch Marner will be the top free agent available on July 1 and he's predicted to leave in free agency.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, just two days before the NHL regular season ends, the league announced each team’s nominee for the King Clancy Memorial Trophy. The award is given annually “to the player who best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution in his community.”

The Toronto Maple Leafs have made an effort to sign Mitch Marner to a long-term extension. Unfortunately, the two sides have yet to come to an agreement, and as a result, he looks likely to hit free agency without a deal done in Toronto.
