The Nebraska Forest Service said wildfires in central Nebraska were nearly contained; however, much of the state was under a high risk for wildfires until 8 p.m. Friday.

Lt. Benjamin Foulois circled a parade ground in the first-ever military flight in March 1910. He made three more flights that day, crash-landing on last one.
