New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel is expected to bring a couple of more familiar faces on his newest coaching venture. According to ESPN’s Mike Reiss, Frank Piraino and John Streicher, Vrabel’s former strength coach and football research director with the Tennessee Titans, could be joining him in New England.

New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel has been on the job for a week and is ramping up his efforts to build out his coaching staff in Foxboro.

According to Reiss, sources around the NFL also expect former Titans strength coach Frank Piraino to join Vrabel in New England. Pieraino was the Titans strength and conditioning coach from 2019-2022. In 2023, he became Tennesse’s director of sports performance.

Vrabel said on sports radio WEEI that he has a "long list" and confirmed it includes former Las Vegas Raiders head coach and Patriots coordinator Josh McDaniels, who still lives in the region and last worked with the Patriots in 2021 when he worked wonders with then-rookie Mac Jones.

The New England Patriots may be closing in on bringing back another familiar face. They hired Mike Vrabel to be their new head coach on January 12 after he played for them from 2001-08 and they might be bringing back Josh McDaniels to be their offensive coordinator.
