NYC Mayor Eric Adams' attorney Alex Spiro criticized the mayor's corruption case after the DOJ recommended dropping the charges.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams thanked the Justice Department on Tuesday for directing prosecutors to drop the federal case against him, saying he never broke the law or traded power for personal benefit.

“There is no looming threat. This case is over. It will not be brought back,” the attorney, Alex Spiro, told reporters. “Despite a lot of fanfare and sensational claims, ultimately there was no evidence that he broke any laws ever.”
