The National Weather Service changed several of its winter weather terms in October 2024. Here is what they new terms mean.
Winter Weather Warnings in 11 States As 14 Inches of Snow To Hit
The National Weather Service had multiple states under winter weather advisories or winter storm warnings early on Friday.
Update: Winter storm warning for Berkshire County until Monday morning – up to 8 inches of snow
The National Weather Service issued an updated winter storm warning at 1:53 p.m. on Sunday in effect until Monday at 7 a.m. for Berkshire County.
Update: Winter weather advisory issued for West Michigan until Tuesday evening – up to 6 inches of snow
The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory at 3:19 a.m. EST on Sunday valid from 4 p.m. EST until Tuesday 7 p.m. EST for Lake, Newaygo, Kent, Barry and Kalamazoo counties.
Winter storm warning issued for Westmoreland Ridges and Fayette Ridges until Monday morning – up to 8 inches of snow
The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning at 9:21 a.m. on Sunday in effect until Monday at 9 a.m. for Westmoreland Ridges and Fayette Ridges.
Winter storm warning issued for Norfolk and Suffolk counties until Monday morning – up to 8 inches of snow
On Sunday at 1:42 a.m. the National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning valid from 1 p.m. until Monday 7 a.m. for Norfolk and Suffolk counties.
