The latest development in a years-long push by South Texas farmers and officials to get Mexico to fulfill a 1944 treaty would still fall short of what is owed.

For years Texas farmers have complained they're not getting enough water from Mexico. The U.S. and Mexico signed a deal in 1944 to share water. Farmers say it's affected the prices you pay for everything from citrus to corn and winter vegetables.
