An Israeli strike on a building in a densely populated district of Beirut on Sunday killed Hezbollah's media relations chief Mohammad Afif, two Lebanese security sources told Reuters, though there was no immediate confirmation from Hezbollah.

An official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to brief the media, said Mohammed Afif was killed in the strike on Sunday.

Afif for years had been responsible for Hezbollah’s media relations, and provided information to local and foreign journalists under the cover of anonymity
