Bearcats basketball opened up the College Basketball Crown tournament in Las Vegas vs. DePaul Tuesday afternoon in Las Vegas.
Utah’s 2024-25 campaign ended in Las Vegas on Monday, and with an 86-84 loss to Butler in the first round of the College Basketball Crown, the Alex Jensen era has officially begun. The focus moving forward will be on whether Jensen, the Runnin’ Utes legend, can get Utah back to the NCAA Tournament and reliving some of the program’s former glory.
The Huskers rallied in Las Vegas by turning up the tempo and Connor Essegian getting into a groove. The sharp-shooter scored 17 points after the break on 7-of-9 shooting to send Nebraska into the next round at the College Basketball Crown. The 16-team tournament is in its first year and will award the champion $300,000.
Some states initially allowed bets for the 16-team tournament that began on Mar. 31, but bettors had their wagers voided and funds returned.
