Charles Barkley began his professional NBA career with the Philadelphia 76ers before moving on to the Phoenix Suns, where he shined for years. However, he recently revealed that he came close to playing for the Los Angeles Lakers before that.

The Los Angeles Lakers have had one superstar after another fall into their lap, most recently when the Dallas Mavericks traded Luka Doncic to them out of the blue for Anthony Davis, Max Christie and a first-round draft pick.

Charles Barkley is still not sold on the new-look Los Angeles Lakers. During Thursday night's edition of TNT's Inside the NBA, Barkley dropped his latest take on LeBron James and the Lakers' chances in the Western Conference a few weeks after they acquired perennial superstar Luka Doncic.
