External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has emphasized the need for India to adopt "out of syllabus" foreign policies to deal with United States President Donald Trump.

EAM Jaishankar described US President Donald Trump as an 'American nationalist', saying India will conduct 'out of syllabus' foreign policy in its national interest. He also acknowledged that US President's policies could bring significant changes to the global world order.

Emphasising strong India-US bilateral ties, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar described US President Donald Trump as an "American nationalist". Speaking at an interactive session at Delhi University's Hansraj College, Jaishankar highlighted the evolving nature of global diplomacy and India's approach to it.

S. Jaishankar further highlighted that Trump’s policies could bring significant changes to global affairs but asserted that India’s foreign policy would continue to be guided by national interest.
