Ronald Osborne was a firefighter for many years. Early in his career, while battling a house fire, his life was in danger. It was another firefighter's quick thinking that saved him.

Now, he is a decorated firefighter and he talks with a friend and colleague about what it took to make his childhood dream come true, as a Black firefighter. KUOW is Seattle’s NPR news station.
