NASA has discovered a new world, named Gliese 12 b. It is roughly the size of Earth, lies in the habitable zone, and orbits every 12.8 days.
The space rock is expected to zoom past our planet today at a speed of around 45,991 miles per hour, according to NASA.
Discovered late last year, the asteroid 2024 YR4 was predicted at one point to have a 3% chance of smacking Earth in 2032.
