Marc Marquez completed a sprint simulation on the final day of MotoGP testing at Sepang, sending out a clear message to his rivals with his incredible pace. Riding the factory Ducati during the afternoon on Friday,

Marc Marquez says Ducati has to be “very, very sure” with its 2025 MotoGP engine selection as “the good problem” it has is that the GP24 is “a very good base”. The factory Ducati squad has intensely been comparing the GP25 with last year’s GP24 over the three days at the Sepang test, with the decision crucial ahead of a two-year engine freeze.

Alex Marquez led the way on the third and final day of the Sepang MotoGP test, as Ducati riders occupied four of the top five spots in the classification. Riding last year’s GP24, Gresini’s Marquez set a best time of 1m56.

Marquez had a reputation of being too crash-prone at Honda, but it took him almost 150 laps to record his first tumble on Ducati’s factory bike
