Uttarakhand Tourism conducted the first successful trip including Darshan of Mount Kailash, Adi Kailash and Om Parvat from Indian soil. The darshan of Mount Kailash was done from Old Lipulekh Peak from where the pilgrims could pay homage to their revered deity from Indian soil.

Thousands of pilgrims travel to the north to have a glimpse of the snow-covered mountain peak that is considered to be the holiest place, that is, mount Kailash. On October 3, Indian pilgrims were able to witness the sight of Kailash Parvat from Indian land for the first time.

For the first time on Thursday, pilgrims gazed at the sacred Mount Kailash peak in Tibet from the Indian soil. This was made possible by the joint efforts of Uttarakhand Tourism, Border Roads Organisation,

Uttarakhand Tourism has launched 'Mount Kailash Darshan from Indian Soil' pilgrimage under which the pilgrims can now witness Mount Kailash from the Old Lipulekh Peak along with Om Parvat in the Pittoragarh district of the state.

The first batch of pilgrims had the darshan on October 3, from Old Lipulekh Peak at 18,000 feet. This is a Himalayan pass at the border between Kumaon, India and Tibet. It was used in ancient times by traders, holy men and pilgrims between India and Tibet.

Uttarakhand tourism today started the first successful trip to darshan of Mount Kailash, AdiKailash and Om Parvat. The darshan was done from Old Lipulekh Peak from where the pilgrims could pay homage to their revered deity.

According to Uttarakhand CMO, the first batch of pilgrims started on October 2 and witnessed the majestic Mount Kailash on October 3, from Old Lipulekh Peak along with Om Parvat.
