WellSpan is beefing up security after deadly attack at UPMC Memorial Hospital
WellSpan has metal detectors in some settings, including the emergency department at York Hospital, because of the high traffic, the release states. The hospital also has armed, on-duty police officers working with the staff, and security uses handheld wands when it is warranted.
