The attack on Saif Ali Khan occurred when an intruder, later identified as Mohd Shariful Islam Shehzad, entered the actor's home with alleged intentions of theft.

Saif Ali Khan is recovering in Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital after being stabbed at his Bandra home on January 16. His family, including sister Soha Ali Khan and wife Kareena Kapoor Khan, are by his side.

Days after the attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan at his Bandra west-based apartment in Mumbai, police reached Lilavati hospital on Saturday, i.e., January 18 to record his statement.

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed by an unidentified person at his Bandra home. He was admitted to Lilavati Hospital where he underwent surgery. He is now out of danger.

COO of Lilavati Hospital, Niraj Uttamani, addressed a press conference wherein he shared a health update of the actor and said that Saif Ali Khan is doing better now but needs to take rest for a few days.

The Lilavati Hospitaldoctors informed that a 2.5-inch knife was removed from Saif Ali Khan’s spine and his ‘leaking spinal fluid’ was repaied. Further doctors also performed plastic surgeries on Saif Ali Khan’s hand and neck,

Saif Ali Khan's mother, Sharmila Tagore, was seen visiting Lilavati Hospital along with her daughter Soha Ali Khan, to check on her son's condition.

Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his residence in Mumbai. The actor, who was seriously injured in the attack by an unidentified man, was taken to the hospital by his 8-year-old son, Taimur Ali Khan, and his caretaker after the incident.

After doctors confirmed that actor Saif Ali Khan is out of danger, his wife, actress Kareena Kapoor, was seen leaving Lilavati Hospital.

A man thought to be a citizen of Bangladesh was arrested in India's financial capital Mumbai on Sunday and is considered the prime suspect in the stabbing of Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan, police said.
