Five Finnish defensemen played in the NHL in 1989-90: Numminen, Lumme, Ruotsalainen, Siren and Gronstrand. Of those five, the right-shot Numminen (6-foot-2, 198 pounds) and the left-shot Lumme (6-1, 210) would have been an obvious choice to be the top pair. The NHL has officially launched the Four Nations Face Off products for all four teams, including gear from the Finland, Sweden, Canada, and USA teams for fans to enjoy.

The 4 Nations Face-Off rosters were announced in December, the captains were named this week and now the tournament organizers have revealed what the United States, Canada, Finland and Sweden will wear in February.

Auston Matthews will serve as captain for the United States in the upcoming 4 Nations Face-Off, and his team is the only one involved without a glaring injury question to answer.
