Memphis is essentially valuing rest over the small probability of moving from the No. 8 to No. 7 seed on Sunday, the final day of the regular season.

The Memphis Grizzlies lost their first play-in tournament game against the Golden State Warriors 121-116 on Wednesday as star Ja Morant played through an apparent injury in the second half. Morant appeared to roll his ankle halfway through the third quarter and had to spend several minutes on the bench being tended to by medical staff.
