The Los Angeles Kings have made the playoffs in three consecutive seasons. They have lost in the first round to the Edmonton Oilers in each of those seasons. As the NHL trade deadline approaches, their current playoff opponent would be the Oilers.

Forward Andrei Kuzmenko and a 2025 seventh-round pick were traded to the Los Angeles Kings for a 2027 third-round pick on Friday. The Flyers are retaining 50% of his contract. Kuzmenko is an unrestricted free agent this summer, and they will retain $2.75 million of his $5.5 million contract.
