If the Cleveland Browns do not draft a quarterback with the No. 2 overall pick, Penn State pass rusher Abdul Carter has become a fan favorite in the 2025 NFL draft. Pro Football Network’s Dalton Miller released his latest 2025 NFL mock draft, predicting the Browns will select Carter with the second overall pick.

Cleveland Browns: “Take a QB or trade back,” asks ESPN’s Jason Reid. “That's the Browns' dilemma. Likely stuck with Deshaun Watson's contract until 2026, the smart play would be to draft a QB while also signing a veteran through free agency.”

Let’s make it a Mock Draft Monday. It has been a couple of weeks since the Cleveland Browns ended their season with a 3-14 record. The best thing the Browns had to take away from the season is their draft positioning and finally having a first-round pick again.

However, their best option may just be taking the best player available, and that is either Hunter or Penn State pass rusher Abdul Carter. In a new mock draft written over at Daft on Draft, they have the Browns taking that route. They land Hunter with the No. 2 overall pick.
