Odyssey cruise ship finally leaves Belfast – but sails for Scotland rather than France - The vessel was originally due to depart four months ago

The Odyssey – the cruise ship that has been stuck in Belfast for four months – is leaving Belfast Lough at last.

An around-the-world cruise ship, which set sail on Monday after months of delays, is still in Belfast Lough. Villa Vie Residences' Odyssey was scheduled to depart in May but has been beset with delays and five months after arriving, the ship has yet to leave Northern Ireland waters.

Cruise ship departs after four months stranded in Belfast - Villa Vie Odyssey is understood to be headed for Scotland before going on to France and later the Bahamas.
