The 15-point margin of victory over then-No. 9 Arizona was Wisconsin’s largest over a top-10 opponent since it defeated Michigan State, 67-49, on Feb. 2, 2010. The 103 points were also the most for the Badgers against a ranked opponent.

After dismantling No. 9 Arizona Wildcats by 15 points at the Kohl Center Friday night, Wisconsin has entered the latest AP Top 25 Poll at No. 19. After losing Chucky Hepburn and AJ Storr to the transfer portal this offseason,

John Tonje had a career-high 41 points to lead Wisconsin to a 103-88 victory over No. 9 Arizona on Friday night.

Wisconsin basketball landed at No. 19 in the latest AP Top 25 men’s college basketball poll on Monday. After being placed in the ‘receiving votes’ section of last week’s poll, Wisconsin received 370 points in this week’s update to firmly cement itself in the hierarchy.

Arizona is going to be contending for a Big 12 title in their first year as a member of the conference. That's the type of program Tommy Lloyd has built in his short time in charge, having already taken the Pac-12 by storm with two regular season titles and two conference tournament titles during his first three years on the job before they moved conferences ahead of this campaign.

Fresh off a huge victory over No. 9 Arizona on Friday night, the Wisconsin basketball team (4-0) is back in action tonight against the UT-Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros.  The Vaqueros come into this game with a 3-2 overall record and are 0-2 on the road.

Wisconsin came back with a 21-9 spurt that allowed it to re-extend its lead to double-digits. Three-pointers were the key during this stretch as John Tonje hit two from beyond the arc and Xavier Amos and Kamari McGee drained the others.
