President Donald Trump has proposed to build a $100 million ballroom inside the White House, as he looks to transform elements of the official presidential residence. Trump first floated the idea of a White House ballroom during President Barack Obama's tenure and had offered to personally fund the construction,

The last time the Trumps were living at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue it was Melania who left her mark on the greenest corner of the whitest house in America. In her sights was the Rose Garden, where a handful of crabapple trees had grown too big for their boots and were undemocratically casting shade on more sensitive plants.

Trump doesn’t usually let legal disputes force him to turn down the volume. During a criminal investigation over his decision to keep classified records at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida after leaving the White House in 2021, Trump spoke extensively about the case in an interview with Fox News.
