Russia will be absent from the 2025 World Figure Skating Championships due to the ongoing war in Ukraine. Some Russian figure skaters have switched nationalities to continue competing internationally.

For the third consecutive year, Russia ... event, in Beijing in September. That would mean that, barring any changes, Russia would have no more than six figure skaters at the 2026 Olympics.
