The Front Range Foothills, Eastern Plains and parts of northern Colorado are forecast to see even colder windchill temperatures between minus 15 and minus 25, according to a NWS Cold Weather Advisory.

Afternoon highs remain below the freezing range for southern Colorado. Widespread snow moves in later in the day and accumulations will start to pick up overnight. Wind gusts remain elevated with cold wind chill too.

Downtown Denver and the Denver International Airport are forecast to see 3 to 6 inches of snowfall by 5 p.m. Wednesday, National Weather Service forecasters said.
