Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley is only 30 yards away from breaking the NFL record for rushing yards in a season, playoffs included.

Barkley is poised to eclipse the NFL single-season offensive yards record (including playoffs) now held by Terrell Davis, who piled up 2,762 yards for the Denver Broncos in 1998. Barkley has 2,760, with 2,447 rushing and 313 receiving. Barkley is also 30 yards from breaking Davis’ mark for 2,476 yards rushing, including playoffs, that year.

Barkley's monster first teason with the Philadelphia Eagles, which will end in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, now includes the award for the top offensive player in the NFL. Barkley was one of the big winners at NFL Honors on Thursday, the league's annual awards show.
