There are two Llama 4 models you can use now, named Scout and Maverick. Meta unveiled its latest family of generative AI model on Saturday. You can give the Llama 4 models a test drive now through Meta AI's website, and Llama 4 will soon power the many Meta AI features on Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger.

Meta has not yet released the biggest and most powerful Llama 4 model, which outperforms other AI models in its class.

Meta's new Llama 4 Maverick model offers improvements but falls short of ChatGPT due to the absence of a reasoning model. While it can be accessed freely via Meta's apps, ChatGPT has advanced features like a Deep Research mode and superior image generation capabilities.
