iPad displays are about to get some big upgrades ... They should also be thinner than an LED screen, but apparently current tech isn't thin enough for Apple, based on these reports.

So the screen needs to last for years and years ... Of course, the new mini-LED panel in the iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2021) has already spoiled us for image quality, so perhaps we'll see that trickle ...
