MSNBC anchor Joy Reid, who previously filled the 7 p.m. slot, has been let go as part of a massive reshuffling of talent at the news cabler. And NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt announced this week that he was departing after a decade in the chair.
MSNBC anchor Joy Reid confirmed her final ReidOut airing will be on Monday. Reid has anchored the show for five years. Before hosting the ReidOut, Reid was a weekend host of the show AM Joy from 2016 to 2020.
Reid’s final show is planned for this week. MSNBC will replace “The ReidOut” with a new show hosted by “The Weekend” anchors Symone Sanders Townsend, Michael Steele and Alicia Menendez in the 7 p.m. ET slot.
