TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) — Arizona State University is continuing to make moves to further the school’s national standing. ASU was chosen as a home for a semiconductor lab funded by CHIPS for America research. It’s the third of three CHIPS facilities and the one with the largest investment.

"We are thrilled that an Arizona Lottery player won the first Mega Millions jackpot of the year," said Alec Thomson, executive director of the Arizona Lottery, in a written statement.

A Mega Millions ticket worth $112 million was sold in Tempe on Jan. 18. The winning numbers on the ticket were 8, 10, 37, 54, 69, and the gold Mega Ball was 22. Lottery officials said the ticket was the only one nationwide to match all those numbers.
