It’s tough to say this late in the season that the end result doesn’t matter. But that’s just what a 4-3 shootout loss against the Winnipeg Jets brought out on Saturday night at Enterprise Center for the St.

Once again, Eric Comrie delivered in a shootout win over the Blues on Saturday. Given what we’ve seen from the backup goalie, there’s no reason the Jets shouldn’t be comfortable giving him more time in net.

Late in the third period, after the Jets pulled Comrie for the extra attacker, Vilardi tipped a Kyle Connor shot from the point after Cole Perfetti collected a puck in the corner and sailed to the blue line. Connor avoided Blues forward Radek Faksa in getting the shot toward the net, allowing Vilardi to deflect it past Hofer.
