Vietnam and Poland issued a joint statement on advancing towards an upgrade of bilateral relations at the end of the official visit to Poland by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh from Thursday to Saturday.

Poland aims to elevate its relationship with Vietnam to the highest possible level, particularly when global uncertainties are posing significant challenges to nations, Marshal of the Polish Sejm (lower house) Szymon Holownia stated during his meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in Warsaw on January 17.

During his visit to Poland, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with the Poland-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Group, the largest such group in the Polish parliament, to discuss enhancing bilateral relations.

Bilateral trade between Vietnam and Poland reached over $2.5 billion per year in the 2021–2023 period. As of the end of last November, the trade turnover had climbed to $3.15 billion.
