Arizona Moves to Close Primavera Online School over Poor Performance
The Arizona State Board for Charter Schools has initiated proceedings to revoke the charter of Primavera Online School, an online institution serving approximately 6,787 K-12 students statewide.

In this economic climate, it seems both unwise and unfair to add to the burden on school districts with an expansion of charter schools.
A new analysis of cyber charter school funding offers a familiar recommendation: consider recalculating how the state pays to keep them operational. Auditor General Tim DeFoor recently announced the completion of his audit of five of the state’s 13 cyber charter schools.
“Insight PA encourages readers of the audit report to look at each audit separately and avoid generalizing any findings to the entire cyber charter sector,” Cannistraci said, adding she agrees that changes to the way cyber charter schools are funded should be evaluated in a collaborative fashion.
