Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid will have a disciplinary hearing for his cross-check to the head of Vancouver Canucks winger Conor Garland.

According to new reports from NHL insider David Pagnotta, Player Safety will announce their decisions to discipline Connor McDavid and Tyler Myers after their hearings on Monday.

The Oilers superstar was ejected in the dying seconds of last night's game against the Vancouver Canucks. The game misconduct came as a result of him cross-checking Canucks forward Connor Garland in the head after the two players were engaged in a lengthy grappling match.

Edmonton Oilers star Connor McDavid is facing an NHL hearing after a cross-check occurred during a team game against Vancouver.

This is not the first time that McDavid has faced disciplinary action. He served a two-game suspension in February 2019 for a hit to the head on then-New York Islanders defenseman Nick Leddy. Additionally, he was fined $5,000 in March 2021.

The NHL's Department of Player Safety has announced that both Vancouver Canucks' Tyler Myers and Edmonton Oilers' Connor McDavid will have hearings in the near future. Both were assessed match penalties at the end of Saturday's game for delivering cross-checks to an opponent's head.

The hatred between the Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers is alive and well, both on and off the ice, and McDavid isn't safe from it.
