CHARLESTON, Mo. (WSIL) -- One person is dead and two others injured after a two-vehicle crash on Thursday morning. The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) stated the crash happened along US 62, roughly six miles east of Charleston, at 4:55 a.m. on January 16.

Although the snow is wrapping up, motorists were asked to stay off of the roads if at all possible Monday morning.

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) Icy road conditions will present a hazard to many people in the St. Joseph area after the blizzard on Sunday. Melted snow can refreeze over night causing ice to form. This is most problematic during the morning and at night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to more than 3,000 calls for service during a three-day winter storm window. MSHP and other law enforcement agencies kept busy working traffic incidents from the storms impact.
