After a 5-12, last-place season that included 10 consecutive losses and the in-season firings of coach Matt Eberflus and offensive coordinator Shane Waldron, the Chicago Bears are now embarking on a search to hire the franchise’s next head coach.

Flores’ Vikings finished fifth in the NFL in scoring defense and tied for the league lead in turnovers. They were tied for fourth in the league in sacks on the backs of Flores’ blitzing scheme. Bears quarterback Caleb Williams called him the “King of the Cover 0 blitz” earlier this season.

For some of those teams, that will involve finding new head coaches and/or General Managers. Three teams fired their head coaches during the season and two more have been dispatched as of 9 a.m. ET on January 6.

Packers offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich was the latest candidate to meet with the team. The Bears announced the completion of that interview on Saturday afternoon. The Bears also interviewed Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores on Saturday, so there was no shortage of NFC North representation on hand.

The Bears have confirmed interviewing 15 candidates, a list highlighted by Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, former Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, former Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy and former Tennessee Titans coach Mike Vrabel, who got the job in New England.

The New York Jets interviewed Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores and quarterbacks coach Josh McCown and Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley for their head coach vacancy.

The Chicago Bears continue to hold interactive and in-person interviews for their head-coaching position. The franchise interviewed four candidates in the past 24 hours. But now they’re targeting someone from the rival Green Bay Packers.
