The Bruins’ losing streak reached to five games on Tuesday, January 7th, as they were blanked 4-0 by Stuart Skinner and the Edmonton Oilers, extending their dismal run of form at TD Garden.
Adam Henrique scored in each of the first two periods and Connor McDavid netted a breakaway goal to lead the visiting Edmonton Oilers past the Boston Bruins 4-0 on Tuesday night.
Connor McDavid and Viktor Arvidsson also scored for the Oilers (25-12-3), who have won four straight and seven of nine (7-1-1). Brett Kulak had two assists, and Leon Draisaitl had his 14-game point streak (12 goals, 15 assists) come to an end.

A long-term injury to Skinner would be disastrous. Calvin Pickard is a capable backup, but he's not cut out to be a starter for a Stanley Cup contender. Thankfully, Skinner returned for the start of the second period, and Oilers fans could exhale.
