Student protesters in Iran called out officials at the University of Tehran for a second day on Saturday following the murder of a business student on campus.

The protests at Tehran University come more than two years after nationwide demonstrations swept Iran following the death in custody of Mahsa Amini in September 2022. Amini, a young Kurdish woman, died three days after her arrest for allegedly violating Iran's strict Islamic dress code.

Iranian authorities have ordered an investigation into the fatal stabbing of a university student during a robbery, state media reported on Saturday, as the incident sparked protests at Tehran University.
