New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel is expected to bring a couple of more familiar faces on his newest coaching venture. According to ESPN’s Mike Reiss, Frank Piraino and John Streicher, Vrabel’s former strength coach and football research director with the Tennessee Titans, could be joining him in New England.

According to Reiss, sources around the NFL also expect former Titans strength coach Frank Piraino to join Vrabel in New England. Pieraino was the Titans strength and conditioning coach from 2019-2022. In 2023, he became Tennesse’s director of sports performance.

The New England Patriots may be closing in on bringing back another familiar face. They hired Mike Vrabel to be their new head coach on January 12 after he played for them from 2001-08 and they might be bringing back Josh McDaniels to be their offensive coordinator.

Just one year after the Patriots promoted Jerod Mayo to head coach, they were already looking for his successor: Mayo was fired shortly after his team’s 4-13 season concluded, making him just the second head coach in franchise history to go one-and-done.
