The Texas Rangers and Detroit Tigers weren’t just battling for a win on Sunday–they were hosting a family reunion at third base.

For the first time, the Jung bothers played against each other in a baseball game: Jace with the Detroit Tigers and Josh with the Texas Rangers.

Josh Jung delivered a special Mother's Day gift to his mom, Mary. The Texas Rangers third baseman hit a two-out, two-run homer in the fifth inning at Detroit on Sunday. Jung's brother, Jace, was in the Tigers' lineup at the same position.

While the tic-tac-toe game became a wash after three moves, Josh got the best of Jace on the field in what became a 10-3 Rangers win in Detroit. Josh went 1-for-4 at the plate in Texas' win, while Jace went 0-for-3 as the Tigers struggled to get much of anything going at the plate against Jacob deGrom .

Mary Jung had perhaps the best Mother’s Day an MLB mom could have asked for. She got to watch her two sons play each other, and throw out the first pitch, at Comerica Park on Sunday afternoon in a rare Mother’s Day brothers meeting in Major League Baseball.
