Titusville police in Florida are searching for Jessie Kirk, a missing 72-year-old woman, who was reported missing by a friend after missing her morning walk, authorities said.

Jessie Kirk was reported missing earlier this week after she failed to show up for a morning walk with a friend, police said. Authorities later found Kirk’s vehicle set on fire in a wooded area of Orange County nearly 20 miles from her condo. The briefing will take place at 4:30 p.m. at TPD headquarters.

The human remains recovered at Haulover Canal in north Titusville Tuesday were confirmed as those of a missing woman from the area with deep ties to the community, according to an autopsy.
