A helicopter belonging to Heritage Aviation Private Limited crashed shortly after takeoff in Bavdhan, Pune, resulting in the deaths of two retired IAF pilots and a Navy engineer. Investigations are underway following the accident which occurred due to heavy fog conditions.

The chopper took off from Oxford County Golf Course helipad near Pune and was heading to Juhu in Mumbai when it crashed, killing two ex-Air Force pilots and an engineer.

In an unfortunate incident, three people, including two pilots and an engineer, died after a helicopter crashed in Maharashtra’s Pune district and caught fire on Wednesday morning. The incident occurred around 6:45 am in hilly terrain in the Bavdhan area after the helicopter took off from a helipad situated at a golf course in the vicinity.

The helicopter, an Agusta A109S Grand (VTEVV), belonging to Delhi-based Heritage Aviation, took off from the Oxford Golf Course helipad in Pune and was headed for Juhu in Mumbai, an official said. The helicopter crashed near the High Energy Materials Research Laboratory around 7 a.m.
