What was the point in Pittsburgh having traded a second-round pick to Seattle for wide receiver DK Metcalf if the Steelers weren't also going to find someone to throw to him?

ESPN's Ryan Clark says the Steelers never had interest in Shedeur Sanders - and suggests outside influence played a part.

Mike North, the NFL's vice president of broadcast planning and scheduling, confirmed Thursday that the league's schedule-makers had been influenced by the widespread expectation that Rodgers will eventually sign with the Steelers, per ESPN's Brooke Pryor. However, he denied his office had any inside information about a deal.

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has been nothing but steady since he began his tenure in 2007. Over the past 18 seasons, the squad has gone at least .500 each year and won Super Bowl in 2008 (and lost in the Big Game in 2010).

The 2025 season will be a special one for the Pittsburgh Steelers as the Terrible Towel will celebrate its 50th birthday. President Art Rooney II says fans should be prepared to commemorate it.
