Drew O’Connor scored on a penalty shot 33 seconds into overtime to give the Vancouver Canucks a 2-1 win over the San Jose Sharks on Thursday night. O’Connor was awarded the penalty shot after Sharks rookie Macklin Celebrini was called for hooking.

Vancouver plays their last game before the 4 Nations break on Saturday, as they return to Rogers Arena to take on the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Leafs are currently second in the Atlantic Division with 68 points accumulated in 54 games played. Puck drop is scheduled for 4:00 pm PT, despite the game taking place in Vancouver.
