We’ll see mostly cloudy conditions for much of the day today with highs in the mid 80s. Overnight lows tonight will be in the upper 60s. Sunday will feature more sun than clouds with afternoons highs in the low to mid 80s.

Chicagoland is waking up to a mix of clouds and sunshine on Saturday morning and the mostly sunny skies are expected to stick around for most of he day. A cold front moving in later in the day could bring a sprinkle or shower to some parts of the northern suburbs.

There will be no flirting with records on Sunday, but I can say this is the closest we will come to the normal high for the next seven days as, yet another warming trend is set to begin.We’ll get into that later in the story,

After a long-awaited cooldown close to seasonal temperatures finally arrived in the Chicago area, warm and breezy conditions are returning for the start of the first weekend in October.

Meteorologist Scott Gagliardi said temps warmed on Friday, but some rain chances and a possible frost were in the future. Here's his Friday noon forecast.
