MICHIGAN (WPBN/WGTU) -- As temperatures start to warm up, you may notice dead fish along shorelines of lakes and ponds. The phenomenon is called fish kill and we may see more of it this spring.

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is reminding anglers of new sportfishing regulations for Michigan’s 2025 fishing season that begin April 1 and are in effect through March 31, 2026.
