For shoppers in the U.S., U.K., and Canada, the Pixel 9a hits retail shelves on April 10. A few days later on April 14, Pixel 9a sales expand to 23 European countries. Australians will be able to get their hands on the phone starting on April 16 along with customers in India, Singapore, Taiwan and Malaysia.

Google's debuting the new $499 Pixel 9A phone, breaking from the company's history of releasing the lower-cost Pixel A phones closer to the company's I/O conference. Instead the phone's reveal is here in March, and Google says the phone should be available for sale on April 10.

Interested in a Google Pixel 9a? Pre-orders, originally set to start on Wednesday, March 19, are now expected to open sometime in the coming weeks, according to Google. The exact on-shelf date, originally planned for March 26, is now set for an April release.
